Today, in Black History Month, we remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Thomas W. Dortch, Jr..

One year ago, on February 15, 2023, we said goodbye to a remarkable soul, a beacon of light whose impact continues to resonate far beyond his time with us. His legacy is woven into the fabric of countless communities, industries, and organizations, where his unwavering dedication to uplifting the underserved, particularly our youth, left an indelible mark.

Through his tireless efforts across diverse sectors, from education to corporate partnerships, from civic engagement to advocacy at all levels of government, Chairman Emeritus Dortch exemplified what it means to be a true servant leader. As a stalwart member and former Chairman of 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc., he not only led by example but inspired others to join him in the pursuit of equity and empowerment.

Though we continue to feel the absence of his presence, today, on this anniversary, we choose to celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the profound impact he made. Let us honor Mr. Dortchs memory by carrying forward his legacy of service, compassion, and advocacy for those who need it most. Together, we can ensure that his light continues to shine brightly in the world he worked so tirelessly to improve. Rest in power, dear brother. You are deeply missed but never forgotten. 🕊️✨

If our ancestors didn’t accept failure in slavery, they proved it was apart of our DNA. Look what happened to Native Americans. We went low to rise high. You got yourself something.

The 100 serve as a beacon of leadership by utilizing our diverse talents to create environments where children are motivated to achieve and become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic and social fabric of the communities we serve.
